Off to Albury

This is being written at the REX counter at Sydney Airport. Internet access is available thanks to WiFi. Back in 1994/5 I did a thesis on the technology of WiFi and everyone thought it was really out there. Now every laptop has it built in. How times change.

In my spare time I have been reading “The O’Malley Series” of books by Dee Henderson. I have read five books, and I am about to start book six as soon as I write this Blog entry. The last few books have been read as a way to divert myself away from destructive feelings.

I finished book five, “The Healer” last night and at the end of the second last chapter I just started bawling. I was so emotional from the futures lost as a result of my breakup. I don’t want to give the story away, but in many ways I hoped that one day I would be in the position of the couple at the end of that chapter. So poignant. The books really are good. Worth a read.
