Albury Post Script

I have just returned from an overnight trip from Albury. I should say I love driving to the airport and leaving the car there overnight. So much faster to get home. The major delay getting home was the 10-15 minutes waiting for my bags to come. I dont know why it took so long.

The trip home was on a Dash-8… Flying through cloud most of the way. I love this – so relaxing until the turbulance hits. Which it did – the worst that I have been in for a long time. I flew into Sydney somewhat over the parramatta river – but I did not see anything because of cloud until the Shell Service Station on (I think) lane cove road just before the M2. It looks like a huge surf board from above.

In Albury one of the things was that I finally got some paperwork for the joint venture company. Both the documents are draft, and they both need a lot of work before I will sign them. We had a teleconference with the solicitor today and although he seemed nice, i do not think he was worth the $450/hour.

Lets just look at that figure for a moment. According to research, at least in the USA, solicitors are usually required to bill over 2000 hours per year on clients. Associates commonly get 33% of the income, and partners something like 70%. For the 2000 hour year, that puts this guy on between $313K and $665K. Although he seemed to be good I dont think he was that good.

Tomorrow I am meeting with the Navy for some work followed by a trip into the city for lunch with a client to return a couple of umbrellas. Yes, you heard right. I helped him move his office last year and he managed to leave them in my car. I have been meaning to catch up for ages. I also need to visit one of the consulates to fix an email problem before visiting another clients place near Long Bay Goal on the way home.

Then friday and saturday I will be over at Castle Hill painting the plane. Or more correctly plane parts.
