I am glad that Australia is mono-lingual. It seems that bi-lingual countries are always running into problems. Canada has lots of issues having to produce information in French and English. And cyclists in the UK have been asked to beware of ‘Bladder Inflamation’ according to the BBC. Rather than get someone who knew the language to provide a translation the rumour is that they got a computer to translate a sign and it got it horribly wrong.

Also in the UK, the DesignVerb Web Site has a first hand account of the chaos in the UK thanks to a flight being cancelled. Their flight however was cancelled after they had got on board. But the flight actually did fly, but it had no passengers. They also had great fun trying to get back into the UK where imigration kept asking where they had arrived from, and they kept saying they had not left the country. Great fun!

Anyway, back to work for me. I have a heap of programming to do…
