This is good. Some of the news from the meeting was not good, but that was to be expected. <\/p>\n<p>There is a facinating show on Discovery about the CERN facility on the border of france and switzerland and is reported to be the worlds largest machine. Basically this device is underground in a 27 km ring, and cost a heap anount to build. They use it to smash atoms together to work out what makes atoms stay together. The site really needs to be seen to be believed &#8211; I know you cannot tell the scale of this thing on TV but I think you come close. <\/p>\n<p>Anyway I think it is almost time for bed&#8230; I want to get a tiny bit more programming before going to bed, but I will see how it goes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The meeting this evening went fairly well &#8211; enough so that I was home just after 8pm.
