Right now it is 4:44 Local time, and 7:44 Sydney time. I could not sleep so I came to check my email. I have a wired internet connection in my room. They originally were going to put me into a room without internet connection but upgraded me when I let them know that I wanted the internet access… and the internet is free. <\/p>\n
Thailand is an interesting place. It took about 45 minutes to get through passport control. The line just seemed to move slowly. In true style just as I got close to the person, they opened up a second person on our line so our line started moving at twice the speed of all the others. Of course my bag was already out on the belt when I got there. Customs was so easy. Just walk through. They didnt even ask you if you had anything to declare. I was met by the transfer person without problem who put me in a merc for the trip to the hotel.<\/p>\n
I have not seen the place by daylight, but right now it reminds me of LA, but slightly cleaner. I am sure that the impression will change. Oh, and it did once I got off the toll road and onto the local roads. I could not believe how many people were out doing things at 1am local time. Wow. <\/p>\n
