I have done some more sit-ups… I managed to do about 20 which is about double what I had been able to do in the past. I am impressed with myself with that. I did them slowly so I will not win any awards doing them but that is not the point. I am slowly getting fit… Actually I think I am fit now, but I would like to be more fit. <\/p>\n

When I was doing the sit-ups down here in my office, I saw an invoice on the side of a box. thix box was being used for a stand for my scanner and doing a good job. I had opened the invoice that came with the box which contained travel documents. And the amount looked correct. It was only when I looked at this invoice that I realised the company charged me for GST. New Zealand GST. FedEx then charged me GST on this GST when I imported it. But more importantly I should not have been charged the GST in New Zealand. <\/p>\n

I have emailed the comany asking them to examine their accounts and refund the excess GST. I think I have had two orders with them so I might be getting back NZ$100 or so. Not much but it is something. <\/p>\n

Here is a photo of Salem just north of boston. This was taken just before halloween a few years back. Most of the graves here date back to the 1600’s. Salem is a strange place as it is so very ‘english’, and old. New houses in the area seem to date back to the 1800’s so it seems.
