I have been playing satellites once again this moring. This is always fun. I have just delievered a program to send some data to a satellite and return the data to a device here on earth. My client just needs to test it for me – I don’t have a connection to their satellite base station from here unfortunately. <\/p>\n
The bugs are quickly being removed, and I am running out of features that I want to add. Well, that I can add without too much work. Anything is possible given enough time and resources… At least with software. But it is not always possible to invest the required resources to solve a problem. Sometimes the technology just does not exist… <\/p>\n
I also spent about 30 minutes on SKYPE with VoIP to a business partner somewhere in Victoria. The thing is that he was in a hotel room, and was using CDMA 1x. The performance was generally quite good. I was plesantly surprised. Isn’t it good how technology just works, sometimes. It was certainly cheaper than a phone call… <\/p>\n
