The gibberish was basically the text I was sending but it was not being read as what it was.

The server was running Windows 2003 Server. Following discussions with Microsoft I looked at the service pack that the server was running. Um… It was not running either the Dot Net service pack, nor the Operating System service pack. So I installed the SP1 for OS, and then rebooted. Things then started working. That is exactly what I needed. It worked.

The other thing I found today was how some things in the Rabbit Semiconductor core modules are not documented very well. I found that the latest version of the Rabbit 2000 has a spread spectrum clock making EMI issues a lot easier to solve. The documentation for the processor I had did not indicate that this was possible. Looking at the version of the documentation on the Internet indicated the new feature.

Oh… Seems that my WWW site is getting better according to Google… It is now back onto the first page when you do an Australian search on GPS tracking. Good. I need to update things a bit too so that I can keep the site current. There is so much old content that needs to be updated.

Anyway it is time to read some more harry potter

Yesterday I posted a problem where I was getting gibberish out of an IIS Web Server when I was using VB.NET/ASP.NET.
