First trick was that I found out that ENGIN did not support this box. ARGH. I wish it has been listed on their www site before I signed up. I unsigned up for them, and this will create paperwork for Engin.

Then I tried signing up with FaktorTel which seemed to be fairly good in the reports that I had seen. Yeah, maybe. But I think they leave a bit to be desired. VOIP is horrible to set up if you have a firewall. No-one seems to clearly present the settings how you need them. Each manufacturer seems to present them differently too. I cannot understand this.

So right now things are still not working. I suspect that I will have to update my DSL modem to at least a new version of firmware. The firewall is not getting anywhere… All in all a waste of time.

What was not a waste of time is that I picked up my tickets. How quaint. I actually got a paper ticket for the USA for the plane. And lots of other stuff. Just waste paper really. I am now ready… But unfortunately I have a week before I go…

ARGH… What a wasted morning… I have been tring to get my new Zyxel VOIP box working.
