Where to start… I think I am going out to lunch today with a friend who I think needs some christmas cheer. I have a number of other things that I need to get done today, but I think this one has just jumped to the top of the to-do list unfortunately. Argh. <\/p>\n
I think I mentioned a few days back about a reality TV show where the contestants thought they were on a space mission. Well, the ‘Space Cadets’ were rather unimpressed to find out they were still in the UK and had not left<\/a>. The fact they had just been goven 25,000 pounds each helped, but they were a tiny bit annoyed. They begin to feel that something was not quite right when they needed to hold an event for a russian dog called ‘Mr Bimby’. <\/p>\n Escape in News.Com.AU has a list of 11 presents you can get for travellers<\/a>. Some of them are a bit out there, but there were two that caught my eye. There was a pin-hole camera<\/a> which is not at all useful in these days of digital cameras, particularly at $310. It looks nice in wood and brass, but is not at all useful. The guide also listed a book called ‘The Map Book’ which described the history of map making. <\/p>\n Another book that looks interesting is DroidMaker<\/a> which describes the history of Pixar over the last 20 years. I have just ordered this book – it looks so good… I also picked up a book on Tracking of Apollo which I had been meaning to get.
