By half way out the door I mean that there I have just built a couple of trackers for this job. I still need to wire some GPS cables, a radio interface, and some other stuff. But I am powering through it. Unfortunately I now need to place an order for some parts. Still, they should be here before close of business today. Whenever I work on building up these radio based trackers I always promise myself to investigate getting them made surface mount. That would make things so much faster when assembling. I will see if I can devote some time to looking at the costings of this. I have a good company that I use located just off Sunnyholt Road at Kings Park I think – I will talk to them.

I also got an email inviting me to talk at an event at Wyong Racecourse on February 19th. I am not sure how many people will come to my talk, but there are usually about 3000 people there for the event. I will be talking on Google Earth and giving a demo over GPRS. Last year I can remember finishing of my presentation at a friends place in the middle of a blackout on my laptop with my hail damaged car outside… I really should have put a bit more time into my presentation… I don’t think it was my best ever presentation.

Anyway, time to order some parts and then visit the postoffice….

Another order is half way out the door.
