And this time I did not wake up after 7:00AM unfortunately. And it was not as if I was either relaxing or doing any of my own work either. Initially I was giving a friend a hand with some of his work&#8230; Doing a tiny bit of research into a problem that I had seen solved before&#8230; And then I did some work for improving procedures at the local pre-school. Neither of which were particularly successful last night. AS of this morning&#8230; Well, I have some solutions for my friend at least.<\/p>\n<p>I just saw an article on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.networkworld.com\/news\/2006\/030606-harvard-net.html?ts\">Harvard&#8217;s Internal Network<\/a>. I did not realise that harvard would have 120,000 users and 250,000 IP addresses in use. That is a LOT. Then again they have a medical school and a hospital system and the like. And over 1000 buildings. And managing this network seems to be a well automated task for a large number of people&#8230; Guess that is the way the world is moving&#8230; This network is larger than most companies in Australia.
