It was a horrible story, but what makes it worse is that the plane that crashed is actually an experimental plane. Not like the one that Richard and I are building, but experimental none the less. It would appear that the engine was not running properly for some reason – maybe the pilot selected the wrong fuel tank, or maybe the engine was not properly maintained. Who knows.

The NY Times has a story about buying properties on eBay, and some of the problems. These are things like the description of the property being totally bogus, and also the seller suggesting a handyman to bring the property up to scratch who did no work. Sure, the properties were only worth about US$10,000 or so, but it would appear that few people actually check on the property they are buying…. If I was buying such a property I would look in the phone book and get an independant opinion of the property… But that might just be me…

I don’t have the link but there was a news story today about light plane that crashed in Victoria killing the pilot and his 10 year old son.
