I am pleased with how things are at the moment (in other words the computer is running) but I will need to see how it goes in the longer term, to see if the extra memory has helped things. Personally I cannot see why it would not have helped… My machine now has 1.5 GBytes of RAM. This is significantly more RAM than my first HDD.

Time to start VisualStudio and see how things perform then. Actually, things are running a huge amount better. VisualStudio starts almost immediately. And running programs starts a whole lot faster. Yes. Things are working well. I wish I had got more memory ages ago… Like always I would still like a faster computer but the memory certainly helps.

I will give more reports in the next few days. Sometimes it takes a few days to work out if the changes are worthwhile. One good thing is that the PC seems to be running a bit cooler. Anyway time to go. I have a phone call to make.

I have just added another 512 MBytes of RAM to my laptop… Actually I added 1 GByte but needed to remove 512 MByte to install it.
