Firstly, is the Wikipeda entry for <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Top_Gear\">Top Gear<\/a>. It provides a lot more interesting trivia on this great show! They also have a page on <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Brainiac:_Science_Abuse\">Brainiac<\/a>. The stuff they have there must be seen to be believed! And I found out about another program called <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Brainiac:_History_Abuse\">Brainiac History Abuse<\/a> which highlights modern-day activities you can do (with varying degrees of difficulty) while wearing a suit of armour, Historical medicinal remedies, <br \/>historical battles illustrated using fruit and vegetables , &#8220;fixing&#8221; an everyday problem with unnecessary force, such as opening a vending machine or a locked car using a battering ram and the like. <\/p>\n<p>The show always ends with an item in which a caravan gets blown up. In diference to the theme, they use a &#8220;historical&#8221; explosive for an everyday task (e.g. a WW2 depth charge to unblock a toilet). <\/p>\n<p>A friend pointed me to an exploit to compromise a system using <a href=\"http:\/\/rapturesecurity.org\/jack\/exploiting_sendmail.html\">sendmail<\/a>. This one takes about two hours commonly per attempt&#8230; But you can have many many paralell operations going at once. <\/p>\n<p>And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/mediawatch\/transcripts\/s1596362.htm\">MediaWatch<\/a> is fun. There are two papers in Northern NSW&#8230; One has been copying the Gig Guide from the other one for ages&#8230; Down to the point where the original started playing games&#8230; &#8216;Tree Stump, Broken Head: Flagrant Plagiarists&#8217; was one they came up with&#8230; And then also &#8216;Monica Attard Orchestra&#8217; playing at &#8216;Auntie&#8217;s Bar&#8217; as a reference to MediaWatch Itself.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some cool links.
