The movie is really a cerebral movie requiring thought. There are certain paralells between V and 1984, and certain differences. Whereas 1984 is is a pessimistic view of the world, V is more optimistic &#8211; apart from the fact that the &#8216;V&#8217; world got there to begin with.<\/p>\n<p>I really need to re-read 1984&#8230; It is a classic book, but I have not read it since Highschool. And thanks to the Australian Copyright law, it is out of copyright in this part of the world so I have the option of downloading it legally rather than buying it or downloading it.
