Definitely time for a break. Right now I am sitting in my workshop with the laptop on my lap preparing to do a bit more electronics work, having just finished a couple of trackers off for a client. I was thinking I was not going to get these units out the door… I help doing stupid things… I could not tell male from female (which I hope is as concerning to me as to all the readers out there)… I came really really close to soldering on male 9 pin serial plugs onto a PCB labelled F for Female. And Likewise I almost soldered the Female where I should have installed a male.

Thankfully that did not happen… And I have learned what the difference between males and females are. Then I soldered on an IC socket onto the board. Only an 18 pin socket, but I did not realise until I had 14 pins attached that the socket was on the bottom of the board. Desolder and place a new socket on the top of the board. And then I kept getting solder into the wrong holes. I dont know what is up, but it is NOT good. Still the trackers are done. Tomorrow (or later today) I have a collection of trackers to get out the door after some testing…

One of the features of MSN I love is the ability to display what song is playing. The problem is that right at the moment this feature is not working on my PC. I have tried telling MSN to use this… and not got much further… It just is not working. The problem started when I entered some custom text in the MSN message… I have since deleted this message, but MSN is playing up. Maybe time for a reboot 🙂
