Dell makes good laptops... Now, I can tell you who does not make good ones - Aldi. I think they are under the Medion brand. I tried to get one working with a video projector today - and for the first time ever I could not get it to work. Not even rebooting the PC and projector helped. And not even trying to use the TV out. No idea what was going on, but I am sure that the projector was fine. I am guessing that there is some utility to play with the chipset settings that I did not know about... Fn-F8 certainly did not work
